Monthly favs - May

So if you've been a fan of pretty much any blog, you'll know everyone loves either sharing their monthly favs or finding out what others have been loving each month. So here goes, might as well give it a go and let me know of anything you've been particularly enjoying throughout May!

1. Nail varnish

I've always been a lover of painting my nails but went off of it for a few weeks (I know that doesn't seem that long haha, but it is) a couple of months ago. But recently I've really got back into it for a few reasons: I just prefer the way nails look when painted and it's relaxing to do either before or after a day of revision. (Yeh, I've had some exams over the past 3 weeks, thankfully they're all done now). Oh and speaking of exams, my next blog post is most likely going to be focusing on revision tips. Right, let's get back to my fav nail polishes:

2. Malibu

Just hear me out on this one. I recently discovered Malibu and lemonade whilst on a pub crawl and it's definitely one of my top 5 drinks! I'm not sure what else I can say about this one so let's move on to my fashion favs.

3. Cigarette trousers

So I basically lived in cigarette trousers whilst attending sixth form as we had a smart/formal dress code, it was a pain most of the time but now looking back, it wasn't too bad. After I'd finished with sixth form, my cigarette trousers were just taking up way too much space in my wardrobe and I didn't know whether to get rid of them or as my mum always says, "keep them, you never know, you may need them in the future". Then a few months ago I was out shopping with a friend and saw a shop assistant wearing these amazing cigarette trousers. I say they're amazing as they were so well fitted in all the right places (around the hips and bum). I made it my mission, after this, to find some 'amazing' pairs of cigarette trousers to wear casually and thankfully found a fair amount. Cigarette trousers are a must in your wardrobe girls! You can either dress them up, or just keep it casual as I often do now. Just wanna say thanks to that woman for showing me how good cigarette trousers look.

4. Culottes

I'll keep this one brief haha. I don't really know where I saw culottes first... ah actually I can, looking out of the big glass window in one of my lectures. I saw a girl wearing them and thought to myself, I NEED a pair. Soon enough I found a pair in New Look which fit like a glove. So this past month I've been wearing them at every opportunity.

5. Thongs

Yes I can here some of you saying to yourself "this is a weird fav" but let me just explain why it has made it to my May favs. I've always wondered how girls/women find thongs comfortable but whilst walking around Primark I saw a stand full of them and just though oh I might as well try some, they're cheap enough if I don't end up liking them. Fortunately, they're really comfortable and look great under culottes and cigarette trousers.

6. Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack

I didn't actually see the new film in May but I have been listening to the soundtrack non-stop in May. I don't know why the soundtrack is so good, it just is. It's just so uplifting, especially when 'Be Our Guest' comes on. Also, some of the new songs that were added to the new re-make are great.
